Maple Reed invites all to be at Kyra Theatre for their rocking Live show. a six piece Rock band from Bangalore rocking with a characteristic fervour featuring Bijesh (Voclas&Lyrics), Sikanth (Lead Guitar), Jozef Cecil / Ajesh (Rhythm Guitar), Naveen (Bass Guitar), Dileep / Danny (Keyboards) & Ranjith (Drums).
Members of the rock band, Maple Reed are IT professionals by day and rockstars by night. The band was formed five years ago to reunite the members of the government Victoria College band from Kerala.They sing for a social cause. Inspired by social issues, their music revolves around the injustice one witnesses in life but chooses to ignore.Their first album, which will be released this June, comprises of songs about a young beggar. Apart from their own compositions, they play classical rock and hard rock music.
“We are not for money. We just want to highlight the social problems and drive a change,” says Bijesh K V, the lead singer.The members Bijesh K V, Sikanth, Ajesh K V, Naveen M S, Danny Jacob and Ranjit Parakkunnath have been performing for over 15 years. Members of the rock band, Maple Reed, juggle their work and families to squeeze in time for their greatest passion in life — music. Maple Reed is all set for its performance at Kyra, Indiranagar, on Thursday.
